Wipro Digital acquires Cooper, consulting user experience projects In a statement, the company says acquisition boosts its digital transformation capabilities in North America and creates a robust design consultancy Wipro Digital, India’s digital business unit Wipro, a consulting and IT services and business process company, today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Cooper, a design consultancy and business strategy.
Upon completion of the business, Cooper will be part of Designit, the strategic design arm of Wipro Digital, which will enhance its performance in teaching design and innovation and will help expand its reach in North America. In a statement, Wipro says that by adding Cooper’s skills and knowledge, she will have more skills to support her customers’ digital programs. “Our combined strategic and technological capability throughout the project gives us a unique platform to work side-by-side with clients in all of their digital initiatives.”

He adds that “this, along with Designit’s global strategic design services and our world-class engineering capabilities, will enable us to support a full digital journey for customers, helping them transform their business into the future.” Headquartered in San Francisco, California, Cooper has been a leading brand in interaction design, UX and professional design education for more than 25 years.
Founded by Sue Cooper and Alan Cooper, the “parent of Visual Basic,” consulting deserves credit for inventing the many tools and approaches used in design, including the Goal-Driven Design method, and Personas as a practical interaction design tool . The company employs 35 people and provides consulting and training services to leading brands, including Fortune 500 companies, leaders of non-profit organizations and government agencies. Wipro Digital and Designit serve customers from 16 offices around the world.
The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to be completed in the third quarter of fiscal year 2017-2018.
